I’m a first-generation American, with family hailing from Liberia, West Africa. I grew up in Maryland and the Greater Washington, DC Metropolitan Area, navigating my way through multiple cultural identities while using African Diaspora cuisine to stay connected to home and to connect with others.
I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Hotel & Tourism Management from New York University (NYU) and a Global MBA from George Washington University (GW).
My experience has allowed me to explore various facets of the global food and beverage industry, working in management capacities with MGM Resorts International (Las Vegas), culinary/food and beverage capacities with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts (Shanghai, China and Baltimore), and through two entrepreneurial ventures (Mesean Spices and TLBRT Hospitality). Some of my favorite projects have allowed me to research and consult with Cuban, Rwandan, and South African entrepreneurs, focusing on food and agriculture in their respective geographies.
I currently work at PepsiCo as a Procurement Manager and reside in the New York Metropolitan Area.

What keeps me up at night? Becoming a rubber farmer, all things Africa, investing in agricultural industries in developing economies, creating spaces for people to connect through food, and tourism development as a catalyst for economic development.
